Procedures and Cost for Basic Policy Reviews

Note that the descriptions of these services and their associated costs are for basic reviews of these matters, which will sometimes be the only service required. More extensive advice may result in additional costs.

  • For Term Insurance

  • For New Permanent Life Insurance

    1. Have insured complete a questionnaire about policy’s purpose and the reason for considering it.

    2. Recommend amount of insurance based on needs analysis, if desired.

    3. Review and existing policy proposals and identify alternatives that provide greater value and/or security. Determine whether client is willing to seek insurance from the company or companies that Life Insurance Advisors, Inc., would recommend, or whether client is only willing to work with an agent or broker affiliated with other companies.

    4. Suggest top-rated insurance company or companies (and agent/broker working with such company) and policy amount, cost, and design to achieve client’s stated goals while striving for most competitive long-term risk-adjusted returns from the life insurance investment.

    5. Have agent prepare illustration from above company or companies that best satisfies the following conditions:

      (a) It meets the client’s short-term and long-term goals for death benefit and premium level;

      (b) It offers a high degree of security that the policy will last through the insured’s lifetime; and

      (c) It minimizes commissions (by 80% or more where possible) and any other variable costs so as to increase immediate cash value and enhance long-term returns from the premium dollars invested.

    6. Coordinate and oversee the application with agent/broker to satisfy the conditions in #5 above and to anticipate and address any medical and financial underwriting issues that might arise in the application process.

    7. Oversee application by agent/broker to other or additional life insurance carriers if underwriting results from initial application do not produce desired results.

      Minimum Cost: $500, except for small policies
